We offer comprehensive consultations and take you through the entire process of fitting your aligners, moving through each stage and even fitting a retainer solution at the end of treatment.
Each Invisalign® aligner is custom made to fit your mouth so you don’t have to worry about mouth irritation or anything else that traditional braces can cause. Step 1.
Your visit with SK Excel Dental
At your first appointment we’ll help you decide your course of treatment. Your SK Excel dentist will take bite impressions of your teeth and send them to Invisalign.
Step 2.
Making your aligners
3D imaging technology is used to create your customised series of clear and removable aligners. There may be as many as 48 in the series or as few as 12, depending on your requirements
Step 3.
Receive your aligners
During your next visit to SK Excel Dental, you will receive your first set of aligners. Your dentist will probably give you a few additional sets for you to wear before you return for your next visit.
Step 4.
Wear your aligners
You’ll wear each set of the aligners for about two weeks (only remove them to eat, drink, brush and floss). You’ll need to visit us every six weeks to check that your treatment is proceeding as planned. Your total treatment time will range from 12 to 18 months.
Step 5.
Finish your treatment
Your treatment ends once you have worn each set of aligners. To help keep your new, straighter smile, you will need to wear your retainers at night for six months. Afterwards, you’ll only be required to wear them a few times a week, as instructed by your SK Excel dentist.
